Overview

The Business Technology Operations team is an eclectic band of highly skilled technology ninjas who are very adept at keeping pace with the evolution of technology and system design. We strive to implement innovative technologies in our environment to allow our team to spend less time on daily operations or break/fixes and more time on system design and implementation. We believe that IT is a craft - elegant system architectures and designs are works of art. 

 

IT Helpdesk Analyst Intern (4 Months) – Starting January 2, 2018

 

Day-to-day duties will involve one (likely more) of the following areas:

  • Deploying and managing workstations: Windows 7 to 10 Enterprise, Mac OS and Windows Server 2012/2016 platforms
  • Administrating and maintaining internal and external facing websites
  • Providing first/second level support to users on all technology related issues
  • Coordinate actions, procedures and documentation with the rest of the team in different locations
  • Managing vendors and holding them accountable to SLA delivery and fault resolution
  • Functioning in a 24x7 environment delivering high availability or mission-critical applications; available for on-call
  • Maintaining hardware inventory and asset database
  • Deploying and managing SaaS applications in an enterprise environment (AD single sign-on) for a global company (Canada, US, Australia, UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Japan, South Africa)
  • Engage and communicate with the team to provide feedback on process, business tools, budget or roadmap

 

Requirements

 

Those that have come before you succeeded in this role with most, if not all, of these traits:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred
  • You are a critical thinker, capable of assessing and evaluating risk and mentally modeling systems and workflows as well as mentally constructing or de-constructing system architectures and models
  • You enjoy the creative process, you enjoy finding solutions to problems and you relish helping a team build quality solutions that delight customers
  • You have a commitment to getting results and having a biased to action attitude
  • You thrive in a team environment, you enjoy sharing ideas and you're curious about how things work
  • You have a customer first mentality and understand how to put yourself in the shoes of the customer to evaluate how well we are meeting their expectations
  • You are passionate about technology and you stay informed about the latest trends and news in the industry
