Project Analyst

As Project Analyst, you'll be the vital link between Client Services and Finance on all Project Management Office (PMO) related activities. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring a business unit's accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with accounting controls, principles and practices, while providing insight and analysis to the business units and senior management.


This position reports to the Manager of Finance Operations and the role will involve working closely as the project accounting go-to person for one or more business units. 



  • Financial transaction responsibility for one or more business units down to net revenue - including review of contracts, project estimates and profitability, project creation, invoicing, revenue generation, reconciliations and analysis.
  • Significant involvement in weekly invoicing and monthly revenue recognition
  • Weekly maintenance of revenue forecast
  • Monthly variance analysis of actual results against forecast and budget
  • Substantial liaison with people with non-finance backgrounds


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Self-starter with strong time management and organizational abilities; able to set and meet own deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Excellent computer skills with hands-on experience with accounting software
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Experience in a market research or professional services organization would be an asset
